Many Things...

Ok so i havent written in a while so i have many different things to talk about... im thinking sub headings is the way to do it :) yes i shall use sub headings :)

-Volleyball-
In between two of our lectures (or maybe after... i cant remember) we all decided that we would play some volleyball. Coz we hadnt played in a while and volleyball is fun :)
Anyways, it was the funniest game ever because, when you made your team lose a point you had to do five push ups. It was so much fun. Poor Jordan had to do heaps of them coz he always made it go out lol. by the end he was struggling to do his push ups. Sometimes we also had to clap between push ups (which is really hard!) or eat some sand on your fifth push up or we just made them do heaps and heaps of push ups :) basically we just kept adding rules to make it ridiculous. Often we would be laughing so hard that we couldnt do the push ups at all lol. we just kind of held ourselves up while we laughed. Jess C at one point had tears in her eyes she was laughing so hard.
Sigh so much fun. It probably isnt funny for you guys to hear but believe me, it was hilarious. my sides ached from laughter. I love living here! lol

Melons!
The melons hate me. they actually go out of their way to make my life miserable. i had finally gotten to the stage where i could tell from looking at a melons colour if it was rotten or not... and then all of a sudden these ninja melons started appearing! the ninja melons hide themselves! they look and feel on the top like a good melon, but then when you put your hands under it to lift it up you realise that its disgustingly rotten! YUCK! I can no longer trust any melons! i roll half of them over now because im so paranoid about the rotten ones lol.
I had this one melon that looked fine, but when i lifted it up rottenness squirted out of a small hole in the top straight at my face! THE MELONS ARE FIGHTING BACK I SAY!! i say we burn the melons! stupid melons...

*Scripture*
On tuesdays i now teach scripture. its pretty good really. in the morning (first period) Georgie and Jewels (staff lady) teach grade 1&2, which is all boys! amazing. they are a great class though. and because i have nothing better to do in the morning i go help out with the class (as well as Anna who is another staff lady). Then, after we debrief on how the lesson went, Anna and i teach a grade 6 class. That was fun too. Pretty different to teaching 1&2 but its still pretty good. Overall the classes were really good. they were friendly and open, which is always a good thing :)
Oh. Jono (the minister dude) is with us for each lesson too. we are working with him in all the classes.
Next week for scripture Georgie and I have to run our classes. and its only our second week! im a bit nervous about it but it should be ok. i will just pretend im confident and dazzle them with my wit and charm so they love me :) and get stuff out of the class :)

CAMPING
So this weekend the guys all went camping with Phill and his daughters. It was pretty good really... although it did rain on us several times during dinner... and i forgot my rain jacket... and  we left Ethan and Josh in charge of getting the camp (which we shall never do again)... and we didnt really pack food real well... :) but overall it was really fun times lol
Our tent was a disaster though. Cornerstone has four tents at its disposal and so we were borrowing one. We sent Ethan and Josh to get one thinking that it wasnt too complicated of a job. Now one of the tents had broken poles and like no tent pegs in it, which we all knew, but we all assumed that it would be simple enough for Josh and Ethan to work out which one it was and choose another. We were so wrong. they had a 1 in 4 chance of choosing the wrong tent and they chose it. they even looked in it to check and still got it wrong lol. So, what that meant was we could try and assemble a tent in the conventional way using broken poles and 2 tent pegs or we could improvise. Tim was all for improvising so he took charge and made a makeshift tent. Basically we lay out the tent base on the ground and used the fly of the tent (outside part) to make a weird shelter above it. It kind of slanted from some trees down to the foot of one side of the tent on the ground. It looked alright when they made it and all the gaps were closed up and stuff so we were going to be protected from the wind rain and bugs so we were all proud of our amazing tent. How naive we were :)
The tent leaked, there were gaps for the mozzies to get in, it was boiling hot and they didnt remove all the rocks from underneath. It made sleeping difficult lol. i barely slept at all that night. it was either be hot under the covers and be safe from mozzieslol. not the best sleeping conditions...

^Waterfalls and the Dream^
The day after camping we had to go to these waterfalls. so we got up early and left at 9.30 after breaky. We then travelled to the church an hour or so away to meet the girls and the church youth people who we were trying to get to know. From there we went to the waterfalls, were people swam and jumped off the waterfalls etc for 2 hours. At least thats what im told we did...
i slept through all of it. coz i had barely slept the night before the car trip to the church put me to sleep... and i just kept sleeping. When we arrived at the waterfalls i told them that i would come in a second, fully intending to go up as soon as i had woken a bit more... well i fell asleep again lol.
but the funniest thing was was that i dreamt that i actually did get up to go the waterfalls! it was really convincing and i was disoriented when i woke to find i was still in the car. basically, in the dream, i walked up this track following the sounds of voices and laughter, to find myself on the top of this cliff type thing. and below the cliff was this massive blue lake type thing where people were swimming in after jumping off this cliff. oddly enough i also dreamt that there was this massive statue of a man on the top of the cliff, and it fell down into the water! almost squishing some people down there. i managed to warn the people it was falling though so everyone was fine (coz i had all of a sudden appeared at the lake shore where they could all hear me telling them of the statue). We all decided then that the statue had to be removed from the lake... so Tim calls all these dolphins, and the dolphins push the statue out of the water! I then notice that the statue is kind of fizzing from where the water touched it and Jordan and i speculate for a while as to what type of rock it is and why it fizzed, and we came to the conclusion that the reason the water is so blue is because the rock has a type of metal in it that has dissolved in the water to make the vibrant blue. lol! i then swam in the water for a while. i then woke up as i was talking to this girl who had the most amazing long blonde hair lol. the hair was so silky lol. and iw as talking to her when i woke up. needless to say i was very confused for a few seconds after realising that it had actually all been a dream :)
so funny lol

#Roomies#
i have a new roomy! Tim! hes so funny. best roommate ever. although i discovered that he sleep talks quite often and also snores occasionally. One night he was snoring so LOUD and i remembered Ruth telling me how she used to stop her roommate from snoring at uni by clapping or yelling or something to jolt them out of snoring. It didnt work for Tim. i clapped. i yelled. i thumped the floor. nothing worked lol. and i was at the point of going over there and poking him or something when he scares me half to heath by sleep talking. sleep yelling more like it though lol. he yelled out this "wow. WOW! thats TERIBBLE! Dixy hates it when its like that. They're too full! WOW!" and then he went totally silent again lol. and the snoring stopped! it was so funny. i had to smother my laughter with my pillow lol. i couldnt wait to tell him in the morning lol. (by the way, we havent figured out who Tim was talking about coz he doesnt know anyone named Dixy or even anything close to it lol. hilarious)

And i think thats about it for sharing about whats going on... wow i just scrolled up. i wrote a lot. i think now is a good time to stop lol.
